Privacy Policy
Freedget
This Privacy Policy explains how Freedget handles your information.
Last updated: April 26, 2026
1. Introduction
Freedget is an iOS app developed by Guilherme Fróes under Triuneon. The app helps families manage expenses, budgets, shared financial information, and related household finance data.
We care about your privacy. Because apparently apps asking for every possible piece of personal data became a hobby for the tech industry. Freedget is designed to keep your financial data private and stored through Apple iCloud services.
2. Information We Collect
Freedget does not use its own login system and does not require a separate account with us. The app uses the user's Apple iCloud account to store and sync data.
The app may store the following types of information:
- Family information, such as family name and family members.
- Expense information, such as amount, category, payer, date, and payment type.
- Budget and financial planning information entered by the user.
- Subscription status related to the Family+ plan.
- App usage and performance data provided through Apple Analytics.
3. iCloud and CloudKit Storage
Your app data is stored in your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit infrastructure. We do not operate an independent server to store your financial information.
When you use family sharing features inside Freedget, some records may be shared with invited family members through Apple's CloudKit Sharing system. Shared members may be able to view or update shared family financial data depending on the permissions provided by the app.
4. How We Use Information
Information stored in Freedget is used to:
- Display and organize expenses.
- Calculate budgets and financial summaries.
- Sync data across the user's Apple devices.
- Share selected family data with invited family members.
- Manage access to Family+ subscription features.
- Improve app stability and performance using Apple Analytics.
5. Apple Analytics
Freedget may use Apple Analytics to understand app performance, crashes, usage trends, and general diagnostics. This information is provided by Apple in accordance with Apple's privacy practices and user device settings.
We do not use third-party analytics services such as Firebase Analytics, Google Analytics, or Meta tracking tools.
6. Subscriptions and Purchases
Freedget offers an optional subscription called Family+. Purchases and subscription management are handled by Apple through the App Store. We do not directly collect or store your payment card information.
7. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your financial data with advertisers, data brokers, or external marketing platforms.
Data may be shared only in the following situations:
- With family members you invite through CloudKit Sharing.
- With Apple services required for iCloud sync, App Store purchases, and analytics.
- If required by law, regulation, or legal process.
8. Data Deletion
You can delete your data directly inside the app. When you delete data, it is removed from the app and from the associated iCloud records, subject to Apple's iCloud sync behavior and retention processes.
9. Data Security
Freedget relies on Apple's iCloud and CloudKit security infrastructure to store and sync user data. We also avoid collecting unnecessary information because the best database leak is the one that never had the data in the first place.
10. Children's Privacy
Freedget is intended for family financial organization, but it is not specifically directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children outside of the information that a family organizer may choose to enter inside the app.
11. International Users and Legal Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or delete your information. Brazilian users may have rights under the Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD).
Since most user data is stored in the user's own iCloud account, users can manage or delete their information directly in the app and through their Apple iCloud settings.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
